The Chian Federation is Honoring Senator Robert Menendez with the 3rd Ionian Medal on Saturday May 20th 2023, at Terrace on the Park .

This Award was established in 1989 and has only been awarded to His All Holiness Patriarch of Constantinopolis Bartholomew and the late George P. Livanos the Founder of the Chian Federation. Proceeds to Benefit The Chian Federation and the Scholarship Fund.

The Board of Directors and the Chian Federation Scholarship Fund Administrative Committee are pleased to announce that we are accepting scholarship applications for the 2022-2023 academic year. The application process closes on June 30, 2022. We are also pleased to announce the 2021-2022

We are also pleased to announce the 2021-2022 scholarship recipients. A total of $10,000 was distributed to the following individuals who are pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees.

The following received The Chian Federation Scholarship, and are named Chian Federation Scholars:

-- Efstratia Nicholson, studying at Dartmouth College.
-- Stamatia Papazis, Studying at Stonybrook University.
-- Eleni Ballas, studying at St. John's University.

The following received The Helen Chiotes Scholarship, and are named Helen Chiotes Scholars:

-- Nikiforos Golemis, studying at UC Berkeley.
-- Calliope Louros, studying at Queens College.
-- Efthimios Rafael Papapetros, studying at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

As you know, the Chian Federation Scholarship Foundation, one of the Federation’s hallmark initiatives, supports education and the preservation of our Greek heritage and culture, by instilling pride and cultivating Greek-American values to young individuals. Scholarship criteria and application forms will be distributed and are posted on our website (www.chianfederation.org). We ask for your support in encouraging eligible applicants to apply. Help us make a difference in the lives of our youth and help the Chian Federation Scholarship Foundation grow.
